IBM FlashSystem is IBM's family of all-flash and hybrid enterprise storage arrays, running Storage Virtualize software and typically populated with FlashCore Module NVMe drives. FlashSystem arrays attach to a Power11 partition through supported Fibre Channel SAN adapters, making them an external alternative or complement to Power11's internal NVMe U.2 storage and NED24 expansion drawer, and a common path once internal capacity or performance is exhausted or storage is being consolidated across platforms.
